June Review + XP Cash-In

Month three is complete!
90 days since this journey began for some of us :D And look how many have joined us since!
Remember, we're not here to beat ourselves up over our failures, but to celebrate our successes! With that in mind, please leave a comment on this post letting us know which June goals you accomplished, and also go back through the month and count up your longest consecutive run of substantial check-ins you had in a row (remember, "I did nothing"s don't count! a check-in should include at least one thing that you did that was positive that day). Round down to the nearest number of consecutive weeks you checked in, and then leave that number in bold at the bottom of your comment to earn your XP! Please also indicate how you would like that XP to be divvied up among characters. I'll do a fake example in mine below.

✓ lose 3 pounds! (current weight = 147, goal weight = 144)
While I originally managed to get as low as 138, vacation back-pedaled me a bit. That's fine though, because I still ended the month at 142, which constitutes a five pound loss across June! Which is insane!
x exercise 6 days a week
Week 1 = 7 days
Week 2 = 4 days
Week 3 = Was very sick so just stuck to planks and walking at work
Week 4 = 2 days
Being sick kind of kicked this one in the nuts again
x take walks 5 days a week at least while school is still in session (first half of june), alternating in running
Week 1 = Walked 2 days, but not counting it b/c I had rehearsals all week
Week 2 = 3 days despite being sick
Week 3 = Just walked at work, too sick
Week 4 = Picked walking back up, 2 days
Again, being sick blows
x once i switch over to working retail, planning on changing to stopping at the prangley family gym on the way home from work to use the exercise bike since I won't want to be on my feet after long shifts
lmao and then I got sick so all exercise plans flew out the window
✓ complete 30 day plank challenge
Kept plank challenge up all month! Didn't miss any of it! Increased my plank time from 1 minute to 2 min 30 sec across the month!
x no more than 1 pop a day max
While I didn't do this EVERY day, I think I cut the number of days that I cheated and drank more down to a week or less total out of the month, which is still a lot of cutback!

While I certainly didn't make the 3 days a week every week goal, I ACCOMPLISHED SO MUCH just by aiming for it???? Like more than I done in literal years, and I'm so proud of myself.

Write at least one sentence per day — i did not do it necessarily every day, even though i hit 15,000 words for the month, so i'm going to double back and keep this one until i can get it right.
Read at least one chapter per day — n o p e. i did very little reading this month and i'm so disappointed in it. keeping this goal.
Write at least one tag per day — did it!!! (i'm excluding weekends because ... kyle.) which is great news i didn't allow myself to basically go "no i'm too tired." i had a couple days where i did not feel up to it and i was like no fuck this i can do JUST ONE.
Workout at least twice a week — haha no
Drink at least one liter of water per day — i drank a glass of water each day, not a liter.
100 tags per week — all but one week, yes! which is pretty excellent, so i'll take it, even if the off-week was like 50 short.
5 books in June — hahahahaha not at all carrying this goal over though because in hawaii i hope to be able to do this.
2500 words per week — AND THEN SOME. i mean, not necessarily over each individual week, but i got 15,000 for the month which is 5,000 over this goal because i managed to do enough catch-up to do 500 words/day for weekends too

I did lose, but probably more like 2? It's hard to tell because of all this water weight I've been carrying from other issues I'm having, but I am down a size in clothes and have been wearing things I haven't worn in a couple of years, so that's my silver lining.
✔ continue tracking food daily
I tracked my food every single day, was honest with myself about everything and I hit my 90 day benchmark on MFP!
✔ continue exercising five days a week
I would be happier if all those days were biking because I always feel so good about it, but even on days where I was busy or the bike wasn't an option, I made sure to get in some circuit training.
✘ get in at least one walk a week, even if it's short
I did get some walks in, but not each week.
life:
✔ continue getting info for the return to school
I am readmitted and registered for fall semester!
✔ put money into savings
It's not much, but I managed to squeeze in a little so I could work around this month's financial clusterfuck with my car.
✔ job search twice a week for supplemental income
I did this the first two weeks of the month, but since I'm going to be going to school full-time, this isn't a concern anymore.

I did well with this at the beginning of the month, but when I had company here it wasn't really doable, and I think there are some days (Tuesdays and Wednesdays in particular right now) where this is kind of an unreasonable goal for myself because I'm out of the house ALL DAY and exhausted. I'm not going to count this as a complete loss because even though I did fall behind in the middle of the month, I caught up reasonably well again, but I'm going to try and take inbox maintenance from another angle.

Successes on Cooper's downstay in a specific place, kept up on tags really well and made sure I tagged new, noncanon characters multiple times!
Partial-successes are from spotty consistency / mental energy levels. I dropped one pound consistently, which is honestly exactly what I'm shooting for -- showing consistent and steady weight loss instead of my usual habit of dropping 15 pounds and then gaining 20 the next year. I definitely succeeded at reducing the amount I eat per meal but there were still days the caloric content wasn't preferable, so I'm not going to count it this time. I wore my Fitbit for maybe half the month, because I forget it when I charge it, and I did a decent job at logging food. Also, up to the race I totally reduced my mileage time, but afterward I stopped running altogether to give my knees a break and start from the bottom. I kept nongame tags current to a couple of weeks, which is totally progress on my previous monthly tagging habits!
Needs worksinclude having no energy left to study even though I really needed to prioritize that. I'm disappointed, but this just means I'll have a fire under my ass in July! I didn't try the knee-strengtheners on purpose, though-- they needed RICE treatment and now that they're feeling better I can focus on those, too!CONCLUSION
I'm very happy with my results for June! I went kind of easy on myself because I'm new, but being able to at least throw some stuff against the wall to see what sticks was AWESOME. And now that I have a record over a month, I'll be able to make some more specific goals. I really appreciate being part of this community, and being encouraged to pay attention daily, weekly, and monthly ♥♥♥
