this is a reread! i like it a lot less than i did when i was 19 bc i'm less
enamored with oscar wilde's ~brilliance~ and more tired of his
self-congratulation and ego, but if you can get past the way oscar wilde
loves his own ideas and should have just written an essay on the nature of
art, it's def worth it. it's also a little patronizing for oscar wilde to
be painting one character as devil-like and having him espouse all these
horrible views of women like see sexism is bad!!! while there's like one
significant woman in the book who dies. like ok oscar wilde. ok. i think
there are a lot of great messages and it's super iconic for examining the
victorian period esp the expectations of society and victorian gentlemen
(we usually focus on women's roles in the period, in my experience). i use
it as a lit circle text to teach societal commentary on the victorian
period, so i started my reread then, got distracted, and now i'm ...
finally finishing it lol.
I feel like I would have loved it more if I read it when I was younger too so then I kept putting it off as I got older lmfao but that still sounds worth a read good

If it helps my idea of cutting back on coffee is to drink 1 pot instead of 2 lmao. It is an accepted fact that me without coffee is a wrong worthy of Mulder investigating.
♥ Calories good! ♥ Cleared out my Eway inbox, faded some things, wrapped some others for post-AC-period. Had Natasha return from Canon Update.
